Shaped by the pedestrian and traffic flows that surround the building, the mixed-use, multi-residential complex is expected to serve as the gateway of Sydney’s Green Square Town Centre by its completion in 2016.The tower will be formed by two distinctive, continuing loops: the public and residential loop. The first, designed to activate the streetscape, will tilt towards the adjacent Green Square Plaza and ensure solar access. The second, oriented due north, will provide residents with essential amenities and open space, while allowing sun and breezeways to enter into the public loop. A gentle transition will be established via lush garden terraces. “The two loops connect, becoming a seamless and continuous part of the architectural fabric,” described the architects. “The resulting design is one that is fluid, connected, activated and responsive to the urban context of Green Square Town Centre and its desire for a new vision of architecture.”Project gallerySee allShow lessGreen House / Carter Williamson ArchitectsSelected ProjectsInside Johannesburg’s Infamous Ponte City TowerVideosProject locationAddress:Green Square, Alexandria NSW 2015, AustraliaLocation to be used only as a reference.
