Toy retailer The Entertainer has reached the £1m milestone through its partnership with digital charity box, Pennies.The Entertainer has been working with Pennies since August 2011, with the money raised during this time helping eight different children’s hospital charities, including Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Bristol Children’s Hospital charity Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, and Noah’s Ark Children Hospital Charity in Wales.The partnership raised £100,000 in its first six months. Prior to this, the toy retailer’s stores were raising around £2,000 a year via traditional charity collection boxes for four regional children’s hospital charities. Last year, The Entertainer announced that it had raised £100,000 for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal alone through Pennies.Gary Grant, managing director and founder of The Entertainer, said:“£1million is an amazing achievement.
