63rd Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition set

BrownEllen Noël Art MuseumJuried Art ExhibitionOdessa Art Association Facebook Twitter Local News WhatsApp The Ellen Noël Art Museum, in partnership with the Odessa Art Association, will host the opening reception of the 63rd Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition plus Diane K. Brown Solo Exhibition “Lives Lived Well: With Stories to Tell” at 6 p.m. Thursday.The exhibition aims to highlight the talent in and around the Permian Basin. The theme artists were asked to focus on this year is “Folklore & Fairy Tales.”The show was juried by Alex Gregory, curator at the Amarillo Museum of Art. A total of 47 artists had works selected.The opening reception is free and everyone is welcome to view the works in person, support local artists and enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Nine judge awarded prizes will be announced.Diane K. Brown was selected by juror Georgina Ngozi as the Best in Show Winner of the 62nd Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition. Brown’s solo exhibition, “Lives Lived Well: With Stories to Tell” will also be on view.The exhibition ends Aug. 8. The top three works with the most likes on the Ellen Noël Art Museum’s Facebook and in-person votes will receive People’s Choice Awards.
