He was recovered following an extensive five day search involving hundreds of soldiers and the RNLI.His mother Patricia Peyton spoke about the incident on Midlands 103, and highlighted the efforts shown by Bundoran RNLI to find her son.She said; “Only for them I wouldn’t have found my son to take him home from Bundoran. It’s definitely good to give something back because they are volunteers. They don’t get anything out of it and it’s just an amazing job that they do.” “They did everything they could to find him, so it’s something I need to do to pay them back.”A fundraiser has been organised in Danny’s Bar, Mullingar on Friday night at 9pm.RNLI fundraiser to be held in memory of young soldier who drowned in Bundoran was last modified: October 15th, 2016 by Elaine McCalligShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img
