Ishant Sharma fined for disciplinary breach in 2nd Test against Sri Lanka

first_imgIndia fast bowler Ishant Sharma has been fined for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct by provoking two batsmen soon after their dismissals in the ongoing second cricket Test against Sri Lanka.The International Cricket Council said Sunday that Sharma was fined a total of 65 percent of his match fee.Also read: Vijay and Saha to miss third Test against Sri Lanka He was fined 15 percent for provoking Lahiru Thirimanne after he was dismissed on Saturday and got an additional 50 percent fine for provoking Dinesh Chandimal after his dismissal three overs later, the ICC said in a statement.Sharma admitted to breaching the part of the code which relates to “language, actions or gestures.” He accepted the sanction imposed by match referee Andy Pycroft, the ICC said.last_img
